Valley is a full-line fresh produce distributor and importer, based in Los Angeles, established in 1920. We operate multiple divisions that service all sectors of produce distribution.
- When was Valley Fruit and Produce established?
In 1920, Val-Pro, Inc. dba Valley Fruit & Produce Co., Inc. started as a small fresh fruit and vegetable distributor and has now become a family owned business in its third generation. From these origins the company grew and flourished to become a full-line distributor operating two other divisions to expand the company’s global distribution capability.

The corporate headquarter is located at 1601 E. Olympic Blvd., Bldg.#300, Suites 300-307, Los Angeles, CA 90021.
- Which countries do you have direct partners with growers?
Valley is a CTPAT certified importer with weekly deliveries from our grower partners from Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama.
- Does Valley have a Global Food Safety Program?
Valley has an International Food Safety program. We ensure that our fruits and vegetables are produced with the highest standards of safety regardless of where they are grown. Valley always imposed upon itself and the independent farmers, a comprehensive program of third-party audits, product testing, and grower education. To validate the program, audits are performed around the world for food safety, environmental welfare, and the fair and ethical treatment of workers. Independent third party audits are performed around the world to validate food safety systems on all farms.
- Where does Valley source its produce?
All fruits and vegetables season occurs at different times of the year in different places. Most of our fresh produce are grown in California. However, some items will have very small volumes and will only be available for a short period of time due to its seasonality or grown only in other countries. Valley’s partnership with local and international growers throughout the world makes it possible to have these produce available. Valley’s global supply chain establishes confidence and trust that the produce we deliver is safe, healthy and has the highest quality produce year-round.

- How do I make a delivery appointment at Valley?
A Valley PO is required in order to make a delivery appointment. Appointments can be made by calling (213) 833-6075 or email at appointment@valleyproduce.com.
- How quickly will I be unloaded?
Generally, whenever a truck arrives and checks in fifteen minutes before their scheduled appointment, they will be backed in, unloaded, received and dispatched within their allotted 60-minutes.
- I am only delivering two pallets, do I still need to make an appointment?
Yes! Every delivery to Valley must make a delivery appointment.
Loads coming from vendors located within or near vicinity of the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market may be exempted to make appointments.
- What if I am running late for my appointment?
As soon as someone knows that the truck is running late for it’s scheduled delivery appointment(no matter what reason) anybody representing the carrier must call the appointment hotline (213) 833-6075 to re-schedule.
